Kitchen

He blushed a light scarlet and I couldn't help the laugh that escaped my lips at the look of absolute determination on his face mixed with his unbidden embarrassment.    As I continued to laugh at him, not able to stop myself, he let out a growl and scooped me up in his arms, placing me roughly on the island, a startled squeak falling from my mouth, but I still continued to giggle softly. He situated himself between my legs and my laughter quickly dissipated as I saw the hunger in his eyes.    When he placed his hands on my bare waist I flinched at the raw heat of his skin, he began to draw them away but I stopped him by placing my ice cold hands over his burning ones to keep them in place, and he hissed and looked down at our hands. His tanned a caramel brown and my pale ivory, together we were like fire and ice, him radiating a heat that could give third-degree burns and me emitting subzero temperatures.    I looked up into his eyes as they slowly filled with black, every p

Guy of my Nightmares

When I first met him, he was sweet with a gorgeous smile, almost perfect...    But then I fell hard, he changed, as if the guy I first met was all an act.    His kisses became rough and forceful, his smile was traded for a devilish grin, his eyes burn with fire and passion, his kind words turned into sweet teasing followed by me crying and him laughing.    But that just makes me love him all the more, and makes me cherish the soft kisses, tender hugs, his sweet smile, melodic laugh, him saying "I'm sorry" in a sincere voice and holding me until I stop crying, saying he loves me over and over again as if I didn't already know, the fact that he loves me even though I'm much more messed up then he is, and the fact that not despite but because of all these things I love him so  much more than he knows..

Observations of an Empty High School Hallway

I  step through the desolate halls and hear the tapping of raindrops hitting the windows lining my path. The doors to every classroom are empty, as classes are going on as I move aimlessly through the campus.    I hear the murmurs of teachers giving lessons as I pass each room, getting bits and pieces of lectures and notes. The lights are dim and yet it isn't until I am standing before a door that I noticed, wishing it were darker outside, as that was my next destination of leisure.     It was pouring outside and the once bright green grass, was now weighed down, a soggy brown colour to it as it was covered in the mud it was rooted to.    I padded along the soaked concrete, dampening the soles of my shoes. The April chill was slowly seeping into me as I moved, keeping my head down as I moved through the school yard before giving up and retreating to the dark indoors once more.

Real Life Superhero

I didn't plan to be a superhero, but all of that changed when I got hit by a bus.    I was sitting on the bus bench, waiting for the #2, when I saw a little kid run out into the street. At first, I didn't think much of it, children were weird like that. One minute they want a ball, the next they're throwing it across the street, and then they want it back again. So,      I didn't bat an eye as the kid dashed across the street to grab his beloved action figure.      But, then I heard the worried voice of who I assumed to be his mother, crying out his name. When I looked up, he was standing in the middle of the street between oncoming traffic as he gripped his toy for dear life. He was starting to slowly make his way back between cars as his mother urged him on, he was doing fine until he almost took a step in front of the bus I'd been waiting to catch. Instead, I ran out and stopped him, pushing him towards the sidewalk and I took the blow.    I woke up the ne

Till Death Do Us Part

She wasn't crying. She wasn't. Neither was she whimpering or feeling scared.    She was, however, smiling, or grinning more like.    She held her head high and silently laughed in the face of Death as he ran a cold, bony finger down her cheek.    She did not shiver, nor did she wince.     She stood her ground and stared into his soulless eyes with a stony expression on her face and with fire in her own colourless eyes.    She was a pureblood. A proper young woman. One who could take care of herself if the situation were to arise, but she hadn't been taught to deal with a situation such as this.    Death smiled at her or at least did something that resembled what could have been a smile once and now only looked like a grimace.    He towered before her and he relished in the way her flesh trembled ever so slightly beneath his fingertips, and yet she never broke. She was strong in his eyes and that only made him more pleased with her.    "What is your name?&quo
